My 30 at 30 Bucket List

The past few years I’ve felt like I’ve been doing way more surviving and not much thriving. Working, working, working, doom scrolling, leaving behind hobbies, not making time to learn or try new things and that’s not what life is supposed to be.

So to help get myself out, about and experiencing things, I’ve made a thirty at thirty list (since I can’t do a 30 before 30 list anymore) full of new things I haven’t done. Some are small like “order a custom cake just for fun”, “print out a large version of a photo I took” to things that are much bigger, “stay in a 5 star hotel”, “take a hot air balloon ride.”

I’ve been 30 for over 3 months now and I’ve finally crossed off my item from the list! I took a sunrise hot air balloon ride over tulip fields and it was one of the most AMAZING things I’ve experienced.

For the past few years I’ve watched the hot air balloons go over the tulip fields at sunrise every year wishing I was in them, and this year I finally did it.

I hoped the weather would be clear so the sun could color the sky and the flowers. I switched my reservation once to give myself the best chance to get just that and thankfully it was the perfect morning. Exactly what I hoped it would be.

It was so peaceful, everyone in the group was quiet and just taking it in.

I didn’t realize how high we actually went up but I loved every second of it. I really love being in the air, floating on the breeze and looking down at all the trees and the different sections of land.

When we were coming down to land we went over some houses and people waved at us and said good morning. It was such a nice feeling, just existing and experiencing something with other people.

I’ve decided this is going to be a yearly thing now, and I’ll be taking my best friend with me next year!

If you’re in Oregon I highly recommend you do this! I booked mine with Portland Rose Balloons and the experience was perfect!

Below is my full list of 30 things to do at 30 if you need some ideas for your list!

Keep dreaming,
